Gravy

John McDougall's Fat Free Golden Gravy

1/2 Veg. Stock Cube
2.5 Cups Water
1/4 cup soy sauce / Liquid Aminos (try less, strong flavour)
1 tsp onion powder
1/3 cup of brown rice flour (or grind 1/4 cup brown rice)

1. Heat 2 cups water in a pan with the stock cube until dissolved. Add Soy Sauce and onion powder. When boiling/high simmer add the rice flour mixture, whisking continuously.

2. Mix rice flour with the remainder of the water (1/2 cup) with a fork until smooth and without lumps. Mix immediately before adding to pan, whisk contents of pan continuously until the gravy is desired consistency.



Tips: 

Grind 1/4 cup rice to make an amount which will make this gravy.
Thickens twice as much when cooled!
